No option in troubleshoot wizard. I knew exactly when my jack had stopped working I use it daily It solved it and the Jack was functional immediately. You just have to learn to suspect they are the issue any time something goes wrong. And don't hold your breath waiting for Microsoft to come clean and make any announcements about the bugs in ANY of these updates.

In reply to John DeV's post on June 12, To be more exact, my computer is missing a playback device for any headphones. If headphones are plugged in, the sound will continue to play through the speakers. My computer is an HP Laptop bs0xx.

Please keep me posted how it goes. When you plug the headphones on your computer a pop-up dialog box will appear then you will need to select Headset. SrijitPaul Choudhuri. I am facing the same issue. Previously the Wave Maxxpro created a popup to notify that a device is been plugged in.

Definitely related to the update because I pretty much only use my headphones, and as soon as I updated they aren't detected. Any advice on how to restore the system? This site in other languages x.
